Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
